REVIEW: THE NUN AND THE HIGHWAYMAN

A surreal power play, as a highwayman sneaks into an abbey and wakes up to find a nun pointing a gun at him. The 30-minute bushranger and The Chant of Jimmie Blacksmith-inspired The Nun and the Highwayman, is showing at La Mama Theatre on November 26 – 28.

Patricia Di Risio writes: “The Highwayman (Martin Hoggart) is also hovering between rescue and captivity as he faces The Nun (Anna Clark) who holds him at gunpoint while he reveals the truth of his crimes. Clark portrays The Nun with steely resolve which makes her ability to weild a gun very convincing. Her determined interrogation of The Highwayman allows the various fascinating themes to unfold.”

REVIEW: TWELFTH NIGHT

Heather Bloom writes:

“Twelfth Night is another exceedingly wonderful production by the entire cast and crew of Bravehearts 2.0 and I cannot commend these young actors highly enough. They perform 15th Century text with such respect and understanding that it is impossible not to be taken under the spell of some of the worlds’ most iconic plays.”
